We’re coming upon the busiest travel time of the year and we all know the recycled air inside the plane is notorious for zapping the life out of our skin. While we can’t help you with the slow Wi-Fi, we can help keep your face glowing when you land to your family and friends.
1. EXFOLIATE TO PREP FOR MAXIMUM HYDRATION
Before you head to the airport, cleanse and use a gentle exfoliant (Dermaviduals, Peeling cream 50ml, $110) to ensure the next few hydration steps fully absorb into your skin. After you've polished your skin, use a flannel or muslin cloth to impart hydration directly to the skin. Submerge your cloth into warm water (Not too hot) wring out any excess water and press the cloth onto your skin and 'compress' for 5 seconds repeat x 5.
2. SUPER HYDRATE WITH YOUR SKIN WITH A SERUM
Use a customised serum (Dermaviduals, Custom Serum 20ml, $175) that contains hydrating superstar hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring ingredient in our skin that holds 1,000 times its weight in water. Adding high potency Antioxidants into your serum will also guard against free radical damaged during the flight and prevent premature ageing in the skin. You can thank us later.
3. APPLY A MASK (AND LEAVE IT ON)
Next, apply a very thin layer of a hydrating mask (Dermaviduals, Custom Gel Mask, 50ml $175.). By very thin, we mean no one else should know you have a mask on. Remember to always put on your own mask before helping others.
4. FINISH WITH AN SPF
Put on your daily SPF (especially important if your window seat-mate doesn’t close that shade) and use your hydrating mask the evening you arrive at your destination.
Pack a rich lip balm for added protection. We LOVE the Dermaviduals Lip Balm $50. Use a hydrating mist (Dermaviduals, Face Tonic, 30ml $32.) in your carry-on bag and spritz a few times throughout the flight. Yes, you’ll be that person, but you’ll be the freshest thing in economy.
